How much more fun has the world of music become since Youtube opened its virtual doors in 2005? A whole damn lot, I say. Gone are the days that MTV dictated which 12 music videos us simple mortals should watch. And that describes the situation pre “The Real World”, I believe the total number of unique videos shown daily has gone down even further since the dawning of the age of reality TV. I also believe talking about MTV makes me sound like a dinosaur fossil, so let me fast forward to the 2010 era in which Youtube is my best best friend. I spend many a day (and night) endlessly watching new videos and old gems, or live versions from all-time favorite songs. Here’s one that falls in that last category: Goddess (Pt. 4) by Longstocking.
Longstocking only ever released one album: “Once Upon a Time Called Now”, and 13 years after the fact, it still rocks. Unfortunately I was never able to see them performing live, but here’s the next best thing:
